INTEC is a popular family all-weather destination near Winchester, it is the UK's largest Planetarium with state-of-the-art digital shows.
There are 100 hands-on activities ideal for the five-11 age group and the 2010 Summer holiday highlights include falconry every Friday (except 13 Aug); a new planetarium show for five to eight year olds along with the other five family shows and 'live' presenter shows. In 2010 the outstanding achievements of the INTECH team were recognised when INTECH was awarded 'Business of the Year' at the Winchester Business Excellence Awards. At the same awards INTECH also won the category 'Business Excellence through Technology'.
It is a superb all-weather educational centre with plenty of parking and the super Chompers Café plus a popular picnic area. Family value offers for the 2010 summer holiday include free entry to the 10:40am Planetarium show after admission, and half price admission to Centre if temperature at INTECH is 20oc at 9:30am.
