Shows that Rock and Shows that Roll!

The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and Bournemouth Pavilion are jam-packed with entertainment and there really is something for everyone!
The 2012 summer season kicks off with The Rawk Roller Rink (21 July – 2 Sep), brand new to the BIC! Situated in the Solent Hall with great views of Dorset’s coastline, The Rawk Roller Rink is a fun and healthy all-weather activity – perfect for kids and adults alike. And news of special events such as the Fire Radio Roller Disco nights can be found on our website.
Just over the way at the Bournemouth Pavilion, the summer season starts with a bang as we welcome musical Save The Last Dance For Me (23 - 28 July) – brought to you by the team behind smash-hit Dreamboats and Petticoats – and play The Final Test (31 July - 4 August) starring Colin Baker at the Bournemouth Pavilion, whilst back at the BIC the race is on with the sensational Starlight Express (31 July - 18 August). Light years ahead of the rest, this futuristic tale of love and hope in the face of adversity promises to take you on the trip of a lifetime – with two hours of speed, spectacle, energy and turbo charged excitement, combined with an electrifying sound track, dazzling sets and costumes, extraordinary roller-choreography and some of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most memorable music.

BICThe high-octane entertainment continues at the BIC with Cirque Du Ciel’s internationally acclaimed production ShangHi (21 - 25 Aug). This production was originally directed in China by Cirque Du Soleil’s Guy Caron and has been theatrically reworked to appeal to audiences of all ages, featuring 30 multi-talented performers and combining acrobatics, modern dance, martial arts and many other traditional and modern Chinese elements in an amazing fantasy adventure.

Back at the Bournemouth Pavilion we welcome yet more top-quality musical theatre with Bugle Boy: The Life Story of Glenn Miller (6 - 11 Aug), before we dust off our leather jackets and take a trip to a simpler time as ‘bad boy’ Danny and ‘the girl next door’ Sandy fall in love all over again the following week as we welcome Grease (13 - 18 Aug).

Bournemouth Pavilion favourite Chris Jarvis brings his Chris and Pui’s Seaside Special (19 August) to the theatre for two performances before our second play of the season Dead Ringer (21 - 25 Aug), starring Chris Ellison.

We sign the summer season off with the ever-popular That’ll Be The Day playing Wednesday to Saturday (29 Aug - 15 Sep) with a brand new show.
