144m YEARS OF EVOLUTION IN A DAY!

Enjoy the best entertainment Bournemouth has to offer the 2010 summer at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Westover Road overlooking the picturesque gardens and the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on Exeter Road with stunning views over Bournemouth Pier.

There are two superb features on offer at the BIC during the summer that take us from the Jurassic age to the Ice Age in just a day, a little faster than the last transition of 144m years!

So in the height of the season when temperatures should soar the BIC has the perfect solution! Cool off with an ice skating session in the Solent Hall, the experience even comes complete with ‘Icicles’ – it’s a separate area for smaller children and their parents to enjoy the coolest attraction of all, safely.

Then, if you dare, enter the Purbeck Hall as the BIC plays host to ‘Dinosaurs Unleashed’, featuring the UK’s largest collection of animatronic, life-sized dinosaurs. It’s simply jawdropping!

Tread the Boards

For theatre entertainment this season is packed as the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre kicks off with Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, followed by summer fun with That’ll be the Day, the UK’s most popular rock and roll nostalgia show. The Pavilion comes alive with The Sound of Music to round up a jam-packed summer season.

There is something for everyone in The Best of British Variety at the Bournemouth Pavilion featuring Paul Daniels and the Krankies among other variety favourites, and the laughs continue with a fantastic comedy line up including Ross Noble, Joe Pasquale and Jethro at the Bournemouth Pavilion and the legendary Jimmy Carr at the BIC.

As well as a glittering summer season there's an array of great 'one off' shows including Rat Pack's Buddy Greco, the enchanting ballet Swan Lake and the sensational voice of Jane McDonald. Children's entertainment includes The Gruffalo, based on the best selling children’s book and The Little Big Club featuring favourite pre-school characters.
